Hub site downloads get stuck on 'File generation in progress' if the data is updated or added to the Hub site content folder, and tries to be downloaded quickly.

Additional Information

This issue is not reproducible in ArcGIS Hub at this time. There were several changes made to the Hub's download backend system as well as the User Interface, which could have resolved this intermittent issue. If this issue continues to be observed, reach out to Esri Support Services for further investigation.

Workaround

Due to the nature of this issue, one of the workarounds is simply to give more time between when the data is updated/added to the Hub site and when the downloads option is clicked.

For the most part, the average amount of time it takes to update the sharing settings, navigate back to the Hub site, find the layer and click downloads, is enough time for the site to load properly and the issue doesn't occur. However, this issue is worth brining awareness to in the instance that customers are using a highly trafficked Hub site that continuously is updating its data.
