The development team has considered the issue or request and concluded it will not be addressed in the current release cycle. If this is still a concern, contact Esri Support Services.Workaround
- Remove the records from the dataset without any spatial attributes.
- Edit the extent of the feature layer in the Item Details settings.
- Use the updateDefinition operation to define an extent in the ArcGIS REST Administrator Directory.
