Additional Information
From the regression tests in ArcGIS GeoEvent Server 10.8.1 and 10.9.1, both hosted feature layer and map image layer created as Enterprise portal content items when a new BDS Data Source is created can be added to an Enterprise portal's web map.
The two content items display in the web map's Table Of Contents (TOC) as separate layers. Visibility Range can be set for the two layers independently. A user is able to zoom in from the 'World' view to display the map image layer's dynamic rendering switch from its aggregated view of a high volume of feature records to display discrete feature records. As the user continues to zoom in, the map image layer turns off and the feature layer turns on. Discrete feature records are displayed from the hosted feature layer as the map scale increases through the established visibility threshold and the active layers in the TOC switch.
Workaround
Set up two outputs to the Spatiotemporal Big Data Store and set up services identically to ensure the two services contain matching data. Add one of the map services to Map Viewer, and add the other feature service.
