Additional Information
https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/administer/configure-security.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_70CC159B3540440AB325BE5D89DBE94A
"This applies primarily to editing secure feature services from a stand-alone (unfederated) ArcGIS Server or viewing secure OGC services. ArcGIS Server hosting services secured with token-based security do not need to be added to this list."
Services on https://services.arcgis.com are not on unfederated servers and are not OGC. They are token-based. As outlined in the doc above, https://services.arcgis.com should not be added to the list of Trusted Servers. Adding a server on this list will change how ArcGIS Online configures requests to the server, and misconfigured requests would not be expected to work correctly.
Workaround
Remove any arcgis.com servers which are added to the trusted servers list in the organization.
