Workaround

Option 1: Uncheck the Hardware Acceleration box in Customize > ArcMap Options > DataView.Option 2: If ArcMap will not load at all, uninstall current video drivers, reboot machine, this will cause a windows default video driver to load.Option 3: Add the following registry key:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ESRI\Desktop10.0\Display]"EnableHardwareAcceleratedBlending"=dword:00000000
