In 10.0 - Keep Only Matching is supposed to work this way. In 10.1 - both join types work this way for Geodatabase data.Workaround
1) Perform Join operation on feature class and standalone table that are not sharing the same geodatabase.2) Perform Join operation on shape file and standalone table.Steps to Reproduce
