Geo-Eye 1 rasters cannot be added to a Mosaic Dataset when the option to add rasters as 'Geo- Eye 1' is selected.

Workaround

When adding the raster to the mosaic dataset, select ArcGIS Raster Dataset for the input, select the ntf file and then generate the statistics to successfully import the raster.
