Description

When building Service Overviews on an Image Service with a large number of raster datasets a 'System.OutOfMemoryException' error may occur.

Cause

This is a known issue and is addressed with the Image Server SDK.

Workaround

Use GenerateDerivedImages ISCommand from the Image Server Developer Kit to generate the Service Overviews.
