Generating a feature report from ArcGIS Survey123 web app fails and returns the following error message, "An error occurred while generating reports. Render expression is: ${undefined} Please see details in the recent tasks panel."

Workaround

1. In the Survey123 web app > Select Data > Select Report.
2. In the Report dialog box, click Select Manage Templates.
3. Download the Sample Individual record from Feature Report Template.
4. In the Microsoft Word document, remove the following placeholders from the Feature Report Template:

• Route Segments
• ${#RouteSegments}
• Route Segment Details
• Route Segment Type
• ${rRouteSegmentType}
• Route Segment
• ${RouteSegmentLine}
• ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• ${/}

5.Save the Microsoft Word document.

6.In the Survey123 web app > Select Data > Select Report > Select Manage Templates.

7.Select New Template. In File Explorer, browse to the file saved in Step 5 > Save.
