Following upgrade of ArcGIS Desktop to 9.3.1, the Append, Delete Rows, and Delete Features tools no longer will operate with versioned datasets.

Workaround
Using a 9.3 sp1 or 9.2 sp6 client will enable use of these tools on a versioned feature class.Steps to Reproduce
