Additional Information

A memory leak happens during the author-test workspace lifecycle, freezing the run of the translation. It usually happens when the Feature Cache is enabled. There is no exact reproducible step identified yet except for this known behavior.

Workaround

This is a known issue which is not easily reproducible. The workaround is to kill the duplicates of fmeobjectworker.exe process in the Task Manager and Details pane. Killing the correct fmeworkerobject.exe process leak frees up the memory so the translation will often run again. Save the workspace before attempting to kill any process. Another suggestion, is to restart the workbench app and use feature caching sparingly, especially when the workspace is in production. This would be counter productive for authoring however it is believed there is a link between feature caching and this bug.
