Workaround

Select features > Under the Layers Context menu, open Selection. Use Annotate Selected Features. 

OR

Create a new field with numeric domain with 'Geometry ratio' Split policy and Merge as sum policy works for the most part, except the Merge policy is broken.(BUG-000112249)
