Feature layer queries without suggestions using the Search widget of Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS return inconsistent results for map services in ArcGIS 10.3.1 for Server and later versions that contain a layer and a table participating in a one-to-many join and stored in a file geodatabase.

Workaround

If suggestions are enabled, select one of the matches instead of pressing the Enter key, or store the data in an SQL Server geodatabase. Additionally, this issue does not occur for map services published at ArcGIS 10.3 for Server and earlier versions.
