Workaround

Workaround:The v8 DGN file will need to be compressed within Microstation, prior to being viewed within ArcMap or being able to be converted into a File Geodatabase. To compress the v8 DGN file in Microstation, click File > Compress > Design. After the file is compressed, save the file again. kb37948This compression process cannot be performed in ArcGIS Desktop, must be performed in Microstation.
