Exporting Mission messages to Excel, CSV, and file geodatabase (FGDB) fails and returns the error message, "ERROR:999999: Something unexpected caused tool to fail."

Additional Information

This issue is occurring outside of ArcGIS Mission and requires further investigation by other teams. This is currently a known limitation.

Workaround

There are two workarounds that can address this export issue:

Workflow 1:

  1. Choose to export as an Excel Spreadsheet file. 
  2. After a successful download, open the spreadsheet. 
  3. Save the Excel spreadsheet as a CSV file.

Workflow 2:

  1. Choose to export as a file geodatabase (FGDB).
  2. After a successful download, open the FGDB in ArcGIS Pro.
  3. Share the feature class layer as a Web Layer in an ArcGIS Online environment. 
  4. Export the published feature service web layer as a CSV.
