The display of point clouds is handled by the core layer and cannot be influenced separately within the animation export process. This means that the solution is to increase the rendering quality of the LAS layer, which is especially important when exporting in 4K. Better results are seen by increasing the display limit count up to 16 million (from the default 4 million) and pushing the density slider over to the maximum level on the contextual LAS Dataset Layer ribbon tab. While there might still be view-dependent issues when working with very large or thick point clouds, the solution results in careful authoring of the LAS layer.
