Bug
Exporting an MXD to PDF, TIF, JPG, or GIF formats creates banding in the output legend if the data comes from an ArcGIS Map Service. If the data is local, the banding problem does not occcur.

Duplicate of NIM003653.See technical article kb30753Set the computer's default printer to a large format printer. Then, add a custom paper to the printer that is at least as large as the map's page size. set the default paper of the default printer to be this large custom paper size. Prints and exports will then have the picture markers drawn correctly.Steps to Reproduce
