Enabling Delete Protection on the feature layer produced with the ArcGIS Survey123 survey and republishing the survey after schema change causes ArcGIS Survey123 Connect to crash in the first attempt and creates multiple feature layers once republished.

Workaround

Disable Delete Protection on the feature layer and save it without republishing the survey. A new layer is published with the same name after republishing, and the previous layer is deleted.
