Workaround

Workaround:***********1) Make sure there is a good backup of the feature dataset and no one is accessing that feature dataset.2) Reconcile and post all the versions to SDE.DEFAULT and delete the versions except SDE.DEFAULT and then compress the geodatabase to state 0 so that all the edits are pushed to SDE.DEFAULT version.http://support.esri.com/index.cfm?fa=knowledgebase.techarticles.articleShow&d=291603) Save topology rules.4) Delete topology.5) Copy/Paste feature dataset.6) Recreate topology with saved rules. Please make sure to choose "No" option when it asks "Do you need to specify a configuration keyword?" 7) Validate topology.8) Register the feature dataset as versioned.9) Enable Archiving.
