This is expected behavior. Enabling GPS metadata when creating a feature layer, even from another layer with attachments disabled, will enable attachments for line and polygon layers. The GPS metadata fields require attachments to be enabled for these geometry types, so it is expected that attachments are enabled in the resulting layer. However, GPS metadata fields do not rely on attachments for point layers. Therefore, the attachment settings for point layers will follow the settings of the source layer.Steps to Reproduce
