Additional Information

The reuse schema option is intended for an empty schema on the child data. If the child feature classes or tables have data, the cost of deleting, checking schema, etc. is much more expensive than creating brand new datafiles with only the schema, which is what is done behind the scenes when there is actual data in the child tables. This is why the cache is not updated – the existing datafile is no longer in use when the replica is recreated. The ArcGIS Pro documents are to be updated with similar or updated info as stated in the following link, https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/manage-data/geodatabases/reusing-a-schema-to-create-a-replica.htm.
