Edit the "Append data to layers" section of "Manage hosted feature layers" documentation to state that "Keep track of who created and last updated features" needs to be enabled, not "Keep track of created and updated features".

Instead of enabling "Keep track of created and updated features" and "enable editing" as the documentation states, enable "Keep track of who created and last updated features".
