Displaying joined data using a distributed 3-tier connection, from ArcSDE with the 'keep all records' option in ArcMap 9.3 is slower than in ArcMap 9.2.

Workaround

1. Use direct connection. 2. Install ArcSDE on the same machine as the Database Management system (dbms). 3. Use the 'keep matching records' option when doing the join.
