Deployment instructions for deploying demographics map services need more information on running the publish.py as it requires access to both Esri-specific modules from Portal for ArcGIS machine and also python modules from the C:\Python27 folder of ArcGIS GIS Server installation thus needing the ArcGIS Enterprise installation to be on a single machine.

This article has been updated with an improved publishing utility. https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000020792 It no longer requires an all-in-one deployment and is able to work with web-tier authentication by accessing the portal through the private port with a built-in user.Workaround
Having ArcGIS Enterprise setup on a single machine seems to run the publish.py script successfully.Steps to Reproduce
