Additional Information

Some aspects of this have been fixed -- the high-resolution version of the thumbnail is now used and then re-scaled when necessary, so the blurriness is mostly eliminated. Some aspects are a side-effect of a very highly requested feature, which is to make the gallery card work in a responsive way when the site is viewed in different browser widths. When the gallery card is resized smaller, then at some point in the resizing, the gallery card will display fewer items, but each individual item will actually be larger than it was when there were more items displayed in a slightly wider window. The choice taken by the developers was to make the thumbnail take up the full width of the card. This can have the effect of making the thumbnail appear to be slightly zoomed so that it can extend across the item in the gallery. Some thumbnails may have the top and bottom cut off when this happens, depending on the aspect ratio of the thumbnail.

Workaround

Use Internet Explorer 11.
