Creating copies of maps within a project leads to broken links on query layers in the new maps when the data source is any Enterprise Geodatabase with ArcGIS Pro 2.9 and above releases.

Additional Information

The issue is non-reproducible in ArcGIS Pro 3.0.

Workaround

  1. Edit the query of the Query Layer in the copy of the map.
  2. Add a 'SPACE' at the end of the query and save. This fixes the broken link.
