The Create Contours script tool uses the Area of Interest (AOI) that is contained in a raster and is used to clip the raster before creating contours. A buffer (i.e. 5KM buffer) is created before clipping the raster and results in larger output contours that extend beyond the selected AOI. Having contours extend beyond the selected AOI allow customers to edgematch contours between areas of interest.Workaround
Use the Clip geoprocessing tool after the contours are generated to clip the contours to the boundary of the AOI polygon.Steps to Reproduce
