Description
In certain scenarios, after updating Google Chrome browsers to version 52.0.2743.116, layers take a long time or fail to load in the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer.
In scenarios where layers fail to load, it returns the warning:
The Layer, <Layer_name>, is not responding
Then the layer fails to load, with the message:
The Layer, <Layer_name>, cannot be added to the map.
Cause
This is a known issue.
BUG-000098445: Copied layers fail to load in the map viewer using Chrome version 52.0.2743.116.
This issue occurs when multiple GET requests are made to the same resource. Example scenarios where multiple GET requests are made, include when there are copies of the same layer in the web map, or when opening a web map with multiple layers from the same organization.
Workaround
Chrome version 53 released on 9/9/16 resolved the issue described in this defect. Update your browser to the latest version.
