Bug
Clearing selection on a large layer with definition query and opening a geoprocessing tool with this layer as an input results in an application hang for a long time and the message "<count timed out>" in the geoprocessing tool selection count.

The adjusted user experience in ArcGIS Pro 3.5 cannot be ported back to the previous releases. The count can still take a long time or may time out, but does not happen automatically starting at ArcGIS Pro 3.5.Workaround
Within ArcGIS Pro 3.5 and later, the behavior has changed; there is no hang, and the GetCount action is listed immediately.
