Certain Web Map Service (WMS) services, when added to a web map as a basemap, fail to display in Collector Classic for ArcGIS (iOS); the Web Map Service (WMS) request uses a bounding box request featuring coordinates from two separate coordinate systems.

Additional Information

Collector Classic for ArcGIS (Android, iOS) has been retired and is no longer being updated. Esri recommends the ArcGIS Field Maps app as an alternative to Collector Classic as it combines the functionality of Classic Collector, Explorer, and Tracker. Note this issue does not apply to ArcGIS Collector.

Workaround

Use an Esri basemap (or other functional services) as the actual basemap, then use the WMS service over the basemap.
