Workaround

When working with a custom Business Analyst Online (BAO) variable, publish the feature collection as a hosted feature layer.

 

When working with a standard Business Analyst Online (BAO) variable with null or unavailable data, filter out 0 before sharing the map to ArcGIS Online.
