10.1 was the last release of the .NET WebADF technology. Client APIs (JavaScript/Flex/Silverlight) are recommended for web application development.

Workaround

Updating an application to use <a href="http://ASP.NET" target="_blank">ASP.NET</a> Ajax 3.5 will solve the problem. The easiest way to do this is to simply open the application in Visual Studio 2008 and choose 'yes' at the prompt to migrate.
