Workaround

Use the "Select By Attribute" option from the attribute table of the event theme.1. Right-click on event theme on TOC > Open Attribute Table2. Options > Select By Attribute3. Date query; [PT_DATE] > #03-23-2008 00:00:00# selects records in the attribute table
