Additional Information

This is as designed. The `Replace` output method in ArcGIS Data Pipelines replaces all existing records in an existing feature layer. Since ArcGIS Data Pipelines does not currently support maintaining attachments from an input feature layer, the attachments in the output layer are not maintained. For more information on feature layers as inputs in ArcGIS Data Pipelines, visit the documentation: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/data-pipelines/latest/connect/input-feature-layer.htm

Workaround

Use the `Add and update` output method and specify a unique identifier field like ObjectId to update existing records and maintain attachments. Updating existing records will maintain any attachments, while using the `Replace` method will replace all existing records, and the attachments will be lost. Refer to the relevant documentation for more information on output methods in ArcGIS Data Pipelines: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/data-pipelines/latest/process/output-feature-layer.htm. Please feel free to add any attachment workflow suggestions to the following community thread: https://community.esri.com/t5/data-pipelines-ideas/preserve-hosted-feature-layer-attachments/idi-p/1375140
