Bug

Batch processing grid for Create Map Server Cache tool inconsistently and incorrectly validates parameters. Populated values are inconsistently recognized and validated, often inhibiting the tool’s execution. Incorrect parameters (ie: layers that do not exist in the associated service) are auto populated in the Input Layers field. Attempts to manually correct the values do not always persist. Values cannot be consistently validated for services, even when layer names are absolutely correct.

cannot reproduce in 10.0sp2

Workaround

Assuming the map services for this batch will be fused, layer names are not required, and removing the layer names from the Input Layers field resolves the issue. However, multi-layer caches will require the field and will fail to execute.
