Duplicate of BUG-000117322. This bug already covers this issue and is unrelated to the feature service source (no need for a second bug specific to ArcGIS Online hosted services).Workaround
If the web application is created through Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, the new features and attributes are successfully added to the map and the attribute values are saved.
