Additional Information

ArcGIS Pro 3.3.x releases support installing up to ArcGIS API for Python 2.3.1 in a cloned environment for use with ArcPy. ArcGIS Pro 3.4 environments ship with the ArcGIS API for Python 2.4.0 for use with ArcPy. To install into an ArcGIS Pro 3.3.x environment, the environment must be created as a new stand-alone Python environment rather than cloned from the base arcgispro-py3 environment.

Workaround

  • Upgrade to ArcGIS Pro 3.4 to use ArcGIS API for Python 2.4.0 in the same environment as ArcPy.
  • With ArcGIS Pro 3.3.x, creating a new environment is supported with at least ArcGIS API Python 3.10 and installing the ArcGIS API for Python 2.4.0 release (both ArcGIS and ArcGIS-mapping packages) into the environment.
