Not reproducible in the latest build. If you are still encountering this issue, please contact Esri Technical Support.

Workaround

The tools and models containing the tools may be run on non-versioned ArcSDE feature classes and/or file geodatabases. Utilizing a ArcGIS 9.2 SP6 client enables the tools to run successfully on this dataset.
