Assigning a null default value to a field for a subtype does not persist in the feature class properties when a different default value is defined for that field in the Fields tab.

Additional Information

The workflow to clear the default value on the second subtype for the test field has been resolved in 10.1 final release

Workaround

After assigning the null default value to the field for a subtype, refresh the geodatabase, re-open the feature class properties, and assign the null default value again.
