Additional Information

ArcGIS Pro uses a consistent system for adding layers to the map, and the interactive input button (pencil icon) in the geoprocessing tool applies the rules from the mapping system. So when the box is checked for added layers to not be drawn, it applies to geoprocessing tools and other functional areas as well.
