Workaround
- Open the ArcGIS Velocity analytic editor.
- Start and open the broken big data analytic.
- Change the schedule from 'Runs at a recurring time' to 'Runs once' and save it. Adding a source or output feature layer to the big data analytic is now possible.
- Re-establish the recurrence settings and save with no issue.
