Licenses should be verified using LSAdmin (/arcgis/license10.0/LSAdmin) which requires a GUI. See workaround for command line options.

Workaround

Set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to include <install path>/arcgis/license10.0/bin, then use the command line query to see the licenses available:# LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/arcgis/license10.0/bin# export LD_LIBRARY_PATH# /arcgis/license10.0/bin/ARCG
