Additional Information

ArcGIS Server does not support the use of NFS shares for storage on Windows.

Workaround

NFS is not supported on Windows. Use Common Internet File System (CIFS) share. An enhancement (ENH-000130379) has been logged for https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/install/windows/making-your-data-accessible-to-arcgis-server.htm to specifically let the users know, storing data on NFS drives is not allowed or supported.

Note: The reason for logging this defect is, if NFS on Windows is not supported, then do not allow the directories to write successfully to the NFS while the configuration store fails. Users are to assume it is supposed to work.
