Additional Information

The values used to style the layer do not match the values in the returned query. When the smart mapping panel are opened, the types listed have {} around them but the returned values when the layer is queried through the REST endpoint, the GlobalID fields do not contain the {} making the set value on the types not mappable. The following shows the sample of a query returned result. OBJECTID: 1 GlobalID: f883d424-9087-449a-a341-18ba97429a74 Shape__Area: 132882510.195557 Shape__Length: 40864.0179062182 geometry Polygon: Ring0:[-1460976.1330000013,954749.59380000085],[-1460909.9259000011,954721.1195],[-1460844.0384000018,954691.91330000013]..

Workaround

  • Publish to ArcGIS Online. Change the style of the feature in ArcGIS Online to its unique symbology of the Global ID.
  • In ArcMap, after creating the Global ID, in the table, add a new text field. Use the Field Calculator tool to add the reserved GlobalID to the new field. Then symbolize off of the new made GlobalID field that is not reserved.
