ArcGIS Online does not display the group to add the user to when inviting a new member to the organization if the group is owned by a different user and the 'Who can contribute content?' option is set to 'Group owner and managers'.

Workaround

  • In the group settings, under Who can contribute content?, select All group members.
  • Change the ownership of the group to the user who is inviting a new member to the organization.
