Bug

ArcGIS GIS Server writes a statistics file in the default location (C:\arcgisserver\directories\arcgissystem\statistics) after upgrading from 10.2 to 10.3, even if the directory was set to a different location (D:\arcgisserver\directories) before the upgrade.

Additional Information

This issue will not be addressed because it is specific to upgrades to ArcGIS GIS Server 10.3. The issue will not be present with an upgrade from a pre-10.3 version to 10.4 for the same workflow.

Workaround

  1. Edit the statisticsDir field in the arcgis-logsettings.json file in the config-store with the correct path. This can be done immediately after the upgrade.
  2. Update the statistics lifecycle file in the directories/statistics directory <machineName>lifecycle.dat-l with the entries in the lifecycle file in the default path.
  3. Restart ArcGIS Server.
