Additional Information

The prompting for location permissions when the app is opened is behaving as designed for the current release of ArcGIS Field Maps. That being said, changes are made on both platforms (iOS and Android) where once the permissions have been denied, or revoked from the OS settings, it will not be prompted unless an action is taken in the app that requires location permissions. Examples include, tapping the GPS tool in the map, collecting a feature and attempting to get a GPS location, attempting to toggle on Location Sharing from the My tracks map, etc. These changes should be available in the 25.2 release of ArcGIS Field Maps within the next few months.
