Bug
ArcGIS Field Maps Designer fails to save the form to the map and layer when adding a new date field to the form for a hosted feature layer published from ArcGIS Pro, and returns the error messages "The network request couldn’t be completed. Check your internet connection." and "Unable to save your form changes. Check the layer settings and confirm that you have the privileges required to make changes."

Workaround
Add fields before publishing the hosted feature layer or after publishing by using the Data tab in the item details page, then add the fields to the form from the existing fields.
