Bug
ArcGIS field data types documentation states acceptable inputs for Scale of Double Data Types are 0+. However, using 0 in both the Add Field geoprocessing tool and attribute table returns the error message, “Cannot add field (field name) to (feature class).”

Workaround
Use any number larger than 0 for the Scale input.
