ArcGIS Enterprise Sites are directed to the item details page instead of the application view page when accessed from Featured Content on the Portal for ArcGIS home page.

Additional Information
This is an older issue related to routing from the home application in an older version of ArcGIS Enterprise Sites. The issue is not to be addressed since it is a low priority routing change. Since the Enterprise Sites application does not manage routing from the home application and ArcGIS Enterprise Sites attempts to render the content view if possible, open an enhancement request if the issue persists.Workaround
- Rather than setting the site administrator group as the feature content group, add the site URLs to Portal for ArcGIS as items.
- Create a new group, for example, 'Sites gallery item'.
- Share the URL items with the group.
- Set the newly created group as the feature content group in the Portal for ArcGIS settings. The group now is used for the feature content items, rather than sharing the site administrator group.
